Can you cook with Essential Oils?

Have you tried cooking with your essential oils?!! Ooh wait… Did you know you could cook with some brands of essential oils? Yes you can!! They work great too!!

How is it they can be used for cooking?! By using pure unadulterated essential oils, making them safe for ingesting! Essential Oils that are safe for indigestion will have a supplement label on the bottle. For example If your Lemon or Peppermint EO doesn’t have a supplement label, it’s not a pure oil.

The majority of essential oils on the market today have been adulterated and contain only 10% of the pure oil. 10%!!!! But claim to be pure.

Besides just adding to your water for flavoring, the uses are endless.
I am still learning to use the oils while cooking, here’s a few tips

Add to 1-2 drops of lemon to homemade hummus (I can share my own hummus recipe, if interested)

Add 1-2 drops wild orange to cool whip and you have an awesome fruity fruit dip.

We made fresh shrimp taco for dinner on Tuesday, I added 2 drops of the lime to the shrimp right at the end before serving them up! Amazing! The flavor POPPED!!

At Christmas, peppermint fudge is a yummy gooey treat! Substitute the peppermint extract for the real deal!! Peppermint eo! You won’t be sorry!!

Chop 2-3 zucchini into 1/2 thick wedges, toss in a ziplock bag, pinch of salt and pepper, a drizzle of olive oil, 1 drop Rosemary and 1 drop lime! Shake bag!! Bake at 350 for 15 minutes!! Quick Easy and YUMMY side dish for dinner.
