DIY Honey Facial Cleanser-Foaming

I have experminented with serveral different DIY essential oil facial cleanses and have finally found one that is exaclty what I was looking for. Gentle on our skin, without leaving your face feeling tight and dried out.

This recipe is so simple!!! So Easy!! Who knew in less than 5 minutes, you could assemble your own facial cleanser. It is a combination of Distilled Water, Raw Honey, Essential Oils, Liquid Castile Soap and Vitamin E Oil.

Believe it or not, raw honey is extremely beneficial for the skin and face. Raw honey is known for having anti-bacterial properties and powerful antioxidants, with the ability too pull impurities from your skin, while cleansing your pores. Raw honey is great for acne prone skin.

Vitamin E Oil 5000iu, helps bring the elasticity back into your skin, giving it a more youthful look and feel. Vitamin E reveres the effects and damage caused too your face from UVB radiation. Since oil dissolves oil, it’s only natural to add a nourishing oil to a homemade face wash. You can also try, avocado oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil, etc

Liquid castile soap is a major staple in our home, one of our families favorite multi-purpose DIY ingredients.(Click this link for uses of Dr. Bronners Soap) The uses of castile soap are abundant. We prefer Dr. Bronners Pure Unscented Liquid Castile Soap. All organic, non-GMO and made with you in mind.  Castile soap is a concentrated vegetable-based soap with easy to recognize ingredients. We use castile soap for everything… I know I already said that!

Needed Items :

(1) 8oz Foam Pump Bottle, you can find it here

1/3 cup raw honey

1/3 cup liquid castile soap (add last)

3 tsp Vitamin E Oil

10-15 drops of essential oils (I use Lavender, Melaleuca and Peppermint)

3 oz of distilled water (water from a tea kettle works too)

Instructions:

Combine your honey, viatmin E oil, essential oils (optional) and water. Lastly pour in your soap, we do this last to avoid suds. Screw on your foam pump dispenser and give a good shake. The honey may not dissolve immediately, in less than an hour it will.

To use: Wet your face and apply one pump of the facial cleanser to your face. Let sit for 3-5 minutes and rinse. Follow up with a toner (we prefer witch hazel) and our DIY Facial Moisturizer.
